Johan Absalonsen’s Left Quad Secures Adelaide’s Finals Aspirations

In what has been an exciting return for Johan Absalonsen for Reds’ fans, Adelaide’s chances of a home final have increased dramatically.

Adelaide United have had to face a majority of the season without their star Winger and his left quad. However, coincidently once the quad returned, as did Adelaide’s form.

While the team haven’t exactly struggled this season, they were not the team hotheaded Kurz wanted.

Unfortunately for the Reds they have been struck with awful luck this season. Not only did they lose Absalonsen to injury, their ‘star number 10 that was signed to play 90 minutes every game’ was forced to leave the quaint town due to his extremely good looking wifes’ need to fulfill her singing career and they also signed George Blackwood.

Even though the Reds’ have managed to float between fourth and fifth all season, Johan’s quad – or any part of his thigh let’s be honest – was they key to spectator attraction.

After smashing the Jets last week, Adelaide attracted a healthy crowd of just under 12k to their Good Friday match against the Wellington Phoenix. Although the first 40 minutes had us thinking the Nix’s goalie was just going to Sail through the entire match, the #NixOut campaign continued and all was right in the world again.

In a time where A-League clubs are losing local ownership and embracing less youth, we were proud of local Adelaide boy, Ben Garuccio scoring his first A-League goal. Benny set the house on fire and attracted more attention than his wanky Instagram photos do.

While most are questioning the Reds’ return to form, a TLL correspondent has been on team Absalonsen since their pre-season friendly against White City at Marden Complex.

Absalonsen and every part of his body is Adelaide’s secret key to success leading into the finals series.

Johan was seen with ice strapped to his right calf after substituted, we just pray for the leagues’ sake, he does a Jesus and makes a miraculous recovery by Monday.

With two games left of the regular season, Adelaide immediately focus their attention to Sydney FC this Sunday. Can the spawn on Vikings lead the team to finish their business from the FFA Cup Final? Hide your ball boys Sydney, the Reds are coming to town.
